A Straunge and Terrible Wunder

Etched in flames

upon the door,

two souls lay

perished

on the floor.

Holy oil raised on high,

 prey-diluted, red fire

 wide eyes.

 Night has come in a great rush.

Pews part with mosaic thrust;

 pray for those who have not found

 peace, instead

 a great hell hound.

Scuucca and Skulk across the black,

 rattling myths of mouth and teeth;

 men are mice in oystershells,

 shucked out beneath.
